GetFoodNYC Emergency Home Food Delivery is available if you can't go  outside, have no one who can help you get food, and can't afford  delivery as a result of COVID-19. You are eligible for the program if you:

  • Are unable to go out and get food for yourself, and

  • Do not have someone else in your household or a neighbor or friend who can get food for you, and

  • Do not receive enough food from Meals on Wheels, God's Love We Deliver, or a similar service to cover your daily food needs, and

  • Are unable to afford food delivery from a restaurant or grocery store.


Masiba - Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry

The Masbia Soup Kitchens and Food Pantries are Sunday though Thursday 2:00PM - 7:00PM. No ID needed. 

FOOD PANTRY: You can pick up raw grocery food for your entire family, every seven days by appointment only. To get scheduled text "FOOD" to 726879. 

SOUP KITCHEN: You can pick a ready-to-eat dinner for yourself every day. Locations in Queens and Brooklyn, see website for details.

ASPCA: Free Pet Food

As part of the ASPCA's Relief and Recovery Initiative, they are offering free dog and cat food for NYC residents impacted by COVID-19. Services are being provided subject to eligibility and availability.


New York Common Pantry

New York Common Pantry -- one of the city's largest food pantries and soup kitchens -- welcomes new clients for intake at their 8 E. 109th St. site from 10 am - 4 pm, Monday - Saturday. Food distribution hours are between 10 am - 2 pm, Wednesday - Saturday. Hot lunches are provided from 2:30 - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. "Brown Bag" distribution is 4 - 5 pm on weekends. They've also added a seniors-only (age 60+) food distribution on Mondays from 10 am - 2 pm.


Nutritional Kitchen (NeON)

NeON Nutrition Kitchens are neighborhood food pantries that help people transitioning from the justice system to stay on the right track. But you don’t have to be on probation to come to a NeON Nutrition Kitchen. Everyone in the community is welcome. Now with expanded hours and a new location!

Coalition for the Homeless

Coalition for the Homeless's Grand Central Food Program has food routes in upper and lower Manahttan, as well as the Bronx.


Food Delivery Assistance

NYC is providing assistance during this crisis by delivering meals to those who cannot access food themselves. Qualifying households may place an order once every 2 days. Each order will contain at least 4 meals per person, but no household will receive more than 8 meals per delivery.


God's Love We Deliver

God’s Love We Deliver delivers meals to those with/recovering from an illness, and having trouble shopping or cooking. They also support healthcare providers getting meals for their partners.

Staten Island Pantries

Find organizations that have confirmed that they're open in Staten Island - frequently updated. City Harvest and Food Bank for New York City are still making deliveries to pantries on Staten Island. Assume that most pantries are still open but call before you go.


City Meals on Wheels

Citymeals on Wheels is a meals on wheels program serving the homebound elderly in New York City. Requirements: Must be 60+; be unable to prepare meals or have no one to do so for you; be physically or mentally incapacitated and in need of some assistance; be able to live safely at home.


St. John's Bead & Life

The pantry will be open for in-person registration and ordering from 8am to 12pm Monday-Friday. It's highly encouraged that guests place food pantry orders online if possible. Guests who order online will have until 2pm daily to pick up their order.


World Central Kitchen

WCK is distributing thousands of fresh, individually packaged grab-and-go meals to local families in Queens, the Bronx, and Harlem.



Plentiful is a free, easy-to-use reservation system for food pantries and the people they serve. Use Plentiful to find pantries and get the food you need, without waiting in line.

Food Bank NYC

Their Community Kitchen and Food Pantry in Harlem remains open for New Yorkers in need! To-go meals available Monday – Friday from 4:30pm – 6:00pm and take-home pantry bags available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.


Burger King Kids Meals

The free meals will be available nationwide with any purchase through the Burger King app. The free meals are only applicable on takeout or drive-thru orders — not delivery.


Invisible Hands

Invisible Hands is a group of volunteers working to bring groceries and supplies to those in high-risk demographics. While most focused on the elderly and immunocompromised, services are available to help anyone in need.


Free Meals for ALL New Yorkers

Three meals a day, including breakfast, will be available to all, operating for children and families from 7:30 am to 11:30 am, and for adults from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. at locations across the city - search for the nearest one on the DOE website.
